The WORST albums released by a thrash band?
spot on. I was having a hard time listening to the original release, but the remaster rocks.sovdat wrote:What, Storm Alert rules!! However, the new, 2006 press with completely remastered sound sounds even better! (probably the only album which turned out to be better after remastering than originally, hehe)

Both albums are available on CD.heavymetalmaniac wrote:When I bought Savage Steel's "Do Or Die" album it was a huge disappointment. Their "Begins With A Nightmare" album was much better in my opinion. Might be that I would change my mind if I would listen to the album nowadays but due to the lack of a turntable I can't try to change my mind... .
It's funny that you feel that way though as most people that I discuss Savage Steel with prefer "Do Or Die" over the debut by quite a large margin. I don't think that "Begins With A Nightmare" is bad by any means but I don't think that it's comparable in quality to the second album. Regardless, the band changed their direction in sound quite substantially between the two so that would definitely explain why a lot of people like one and disliking the other.

Yes they are available on CD but I only have "Begins With A Nightmare" in this form. "Do Or Die" I only own as an LP. Maybe someone wants to exchange his CD with my LP?Avenger wrote:Both albums are available on CD.heavymetalmaniac wrote:When I bought Savage Steel's "Do Or Die" album it was a huge disappointment. However, I will give it a try and see if something has changed over the years... .

The unreleased album is awesome, but I doubt it will sees the light of day, coz a) contractually it belongs to NRR, and b) the label didnt pay to the studio when the album was recorded, so there are no master tapes for it.anthares wrote:And so is their unreleased album. Someone should release it.
