I've gotten quite a few sealed records with slight warps, but only a couple of really bad ones. Still, even a slight warp bothers me. Most of them are perfectly flat, but it is a bit of a crapshoot.
And the "tons of pops and clicks" argument isn't really valid. If you maintain your gear and records well it is not a problem at all. That's not to say CDs don't have their advantages. No format is inherently superior, it's all about mastering and pressing quality.

Some of these warped records even play pretty fine, without any listenable damage, others really drive me insane with that scratching noise. Time for a hair dryer attack ...

Have you tried using a stabilizer?

Yes. I have a Michell clamp and an Audio Technica stabilizer I imported from Japan. The usual case (depending on the warp) is that it will work on one side of the LP, but make the other side worse. The only really good way to correct warps is a turntable with a vacuum platter.
Anyway, I agree that Violent Playground album is crap.

When pricekillers lists that goes for $40+, I've bought mine for $15. Go figure.

That is quite pricey I guess ... (over 50$ surely), but at least it's very very good, unlike many other expensive cds.

Thanks for that info. Yeah I am prepared to pay 60-70$ dolars for that. Now I just need to find it. Again - big thanks.

It looks like I'm outta luck for that one. Eh - being born too late sucks. I will keep a watch out though because that disc is great and I really want it. But 100+ dollars is too much.
