My parcels from Nightsblood and Stormspell arrived this morning(thanks!), so it's not random at all, packages sent out after Christmas are arriving completely normally while loads of stuff sent out before is inexplicably delayed.

Recently took a priority airmail package 10 days to get to me (should have been a week MAX...when I was still in the states and sent packages out in that fashion, longest it took ever was 6 days). Still waiting for one to arrive sent regular airmail (it's been 13 days). Got a package from France after only 6 days.

Seems the U.S. postal service has gone to shit lately...

With all the problems happening all over the world, I think registration of parcels should be FREE and standard - in fact I should think there would be a case against the current situation being illegal.

And now there is even the official "excuse": the dust from iceland volcano ... I'm very afraid for packages coming from USA (little bit less from German as I've received one today after only 4 days of shipping).

The only issue I can think of that has not been offered as a possibility is that someone got cheap with shipping and sent it surface mail...in which case good luck...should be there by summer...

As of May 2008 US Postal Services has discontinued the surface mail. Everything from USA goes by airmail overseas now.

Unfortunately this is true. The worst part about this is that Canada Post tries to push this method of shipping with drastically cheaper prices and purposely racks up the price of Airmail so that you will contemplate the switch.

Don’t even ask about registration...

I'm actually so pissed off at Canada Post right now that I'm debating sending out everything by courier from now on so they don’t get any more of my business.

Apparently not a sure thing, nowadays...

Not sure if the Dutch post or Auspost did it, but one of them lost a registered package of mine recently.

I told ya, US registration is a mock-up farce. For almost the same money you can ship EMS
