I still have the One Records CDs. They look to me like some cheaply made silver CDs.

When you look at the playing side of the discs what color are they? Do they have a darker/greenish shade to them?

The playing side is pure silver, not a CD-R. By the way, there are Heller CD-Rs floating around in the market. I've got one and there are words "CD-R 80" at the inner ring! :(

Actually I think now it was Walk Records who reissued everything on CDR.

don`t know about the first two Annathema albums, but I have the "Dont Go Down" CD and it is a silver CD. One Records released the 2nd Dr Steel album first as a CDR, but rereleased it again as a silver CD years later...

The CD-R is also from Rock Express. The CD inlay of the CD-R is same as the silver CD version. Even both discs don't show much difference on the label side (but the silver disc has a red Rock Express logo which is not appear on the CD-R).

Great topic, sad it got in-active. My favourite ex-YU band are by far Evil Blood and Witchcraft. Some other are also damn good, like Dr. Steel, Osmi Putnik (debut LP) and even III Kanal (their 2nd LP), Vatreni Poljubac (first LP) and many other.

I would also like any info on these Croatian bands: Apokalipsa, No More Experiments, M. Stoned, Strydom.

Seems like they hadn't released anything, but possibly there are some demos.

Off that list I voted for SARCASM (from Slovenia). After that it would be HELLER.
Serbian deathrashers BLOODBATH are my favourite from there. There's also some good black metal from there like THE STONE, ZAIMUS from Montenegro. DEMONIAC were not bad either. I check out Metal Archives to try & find new bands from Ex-Yugoslavia. Could any of you send recommendation of bands that might not be listed there that are worth checking out. Appreciate it.

I am from Croatia, so I just know a few newer bands from there, because I am not following the current bands anymore. I mostly like Art Knockout and Savant, who play traditional Heavy Metal. Judging from your faves, you might be more interested in the thrashers Vortex, Raptor, War-Head or Black Metal bands like Bustum or The Frost. The best Black Metal demo from Croatia imo was the first Darkendome demo "Odlazak...." from 2000, (something like old Emperor or Dimmu Borgir with a great atmosphere) and Koziak who reminded me a bit of old Manes. From Slovenia, I remember I liked the Thrash band Negligence and I think they have some albums out. From Serbia, I do not know much new bands either, but I think you should check out the "recent" Bombarder album, Mad Goya and Space Eaters. Musically, my favorite band is the Heavy Metal band Pero Defformero, but one must get used to the vocals. From Bosnia you can try the "new Bombarder" Bogamber or Toxicdeath.

These last months I've added a couple of really great ExYugo Hard Rock/HM vinyls to the collection (mostly thanx to the much recommended dealer Krstić Predrag/heavymetaldinamit), like for instance:

GORDI - Pakleni Trio & Kraljica Smrti LPs
This band has grown on me immensly. Perfect NWOHM and they do deserve credit for making the First Official EastEuro Metal LP with "Pakleni Trio" ('81)

APARTMAN 69 - Seti Se Moje Pesme LP '83
Great melodic HR/HM with a few superb SARACEN-like epics - esp the title track!

METRO - Čupave Glave LP '83
Tasty Purple/hammond stuff and way ballsier than for instance Divlje Jagode or Atomsko Skloniste.

GRUPA T-L-X - Čovek Sa Pehom LP '82
Fuckin' raw & mean Hard Rock - plenty of people around here would luw this I'm sure..

OSMI PUTNIK - Ulicna Molitva LP '86
Just great HR/HM. Too bad their later stuff sucked badger-balls :(

SEVENTH MORTUARY-Son Of Sodom(track)

does anyone knows more or has more tracks?

This band sounds like the In The Sign Of Evil era of SODOM
