and the one that kills me the most...
Scorpions "We'll Burn The Sky"
These are the songs I would play if I needed that extra "push" to pull the trigger!!!!!!! Or when I lose the love of my life....
Anaconda - Life On Strings (Silent Rage EP)
Cerebus - Longing for Home (Too Late to Pray)
Drive - Forever and a Day (Characters In Time); Once Again (Diablero)
Fifth Angel - Broken Dreams (Time Will Tell)
Lazarus Sin - Monument (Intracranial Mass)
Medieval Steel - Echoes (The Dungeon Tapes); It's Just too Late (Demo '89)
Versital - Wasted Time (s/t LP, great power/prog metal highly recommended!)
Villain - Just Close Your Eyes (Only Time Will Tell)
My picks:
Michael Schenker Group- Rock Will Never Die(WHY HAS THIS NOT BEEN MENTIONED?)
Judas Priest- Night Comes Down
Accept- Winter Dreams
Krokus- Screaming in the Night
Ozzy and Lita- Close My Eyes Forever
I don't know if these songs are exactly 'ballads' or 'mid-tempos' or what, but i would say:
- 'Rainbow eyes' from RAINBOW'S "Long live r'n'r"
- 'Beth' From KISS'S "Destroyer"
- "Siempre estás allí" from "BARON ROJO'S "Metalmorfosis"

I wouldn't call "Rock will never die" a ballad, it's a great song, but its killer riff makes me think about it (at least to me) as a mid-tempo, but not as a ballad.
Destiny's End - Vanished (Transition) Frozen Rose - Cold Hearted Woman; Tale of a Thousand Years (S/T EP) Longings Past - A Somber Mist (An Angel's Tale) Stranger - I Hold You (The Bell) Thynn Ice - Life and Death (S/T)
