New MAIDEN album "The Final Frontier"
artwork SUCKS!!!!! U figure the band has made millions on Eddie - why drop him?? this is almost as bad as the Dance of death cover.
The song is way too long - they have had that problem for the last 4 albums... I am not interested in this release at all...
They have one guitar to many - Janick Gers adds nothing at all -- I wishi they would just drop him

Please tell me that this is sarcasm?MetalizeR wrote:for me is good cover (almost better than dance of death)

Exactly. AMOLAD was a good album and I agree that the longest songs were the best but I do also think they could've been a bit shorter just as well. I mean is "for the greater good of god!"x20 really necessary? Still, a good album as I said.mordred wrote:Question is... will it be as good as A Matter of Life and Death or will it be as bad as Dance of Death?
I hope that rest of the Final Frontier is better than El Dorado because this song sucks.

I laughed when I saw that clip, in disbelief. More Iron Maiden, god, totally irrelevant to me, fans of the band defend them ad nauseum and talk about them as if no other band ever had any impact on metal. If this were any other band than IM people would say it sucked, but now there has to be 'reverence' towards them. Why? I think it's pathetic. I don't want to sound too negative, but I'm really, really, really sick of hearing about IM. They turned into meticulous capitalists in the 80's already, they are a business, and they went shit 20 years ago, and it's beyond me why anyone would waste their time on them when there's 1000 other great metal bands out there most fans of this band probably have never heard of.
Are you the tyrant, who cast them to the sea?

so true daniel, i feel the same way. The same thing can be said of other bands as well. Once they establishe themselves as a business, they know that anything they put out with their names will be a sure buy esp. by their 'fans'. Sadly thats how the world (or businesses) worksdaniel wrote:I laughed when I saw that clip, in disbelief. Same thing with Brave New World, Dance Of Death and AMOLAD, I buy them asap they are released and listen to them thinking "oh yeah, IM is back, classic album etc". But after few months I can't even remember when I listened to them last time. Not one of them has stood the test of time.
But once again, I'll buy the new one when it's out.
edit. But I'm not gonna spend any euros to go to see them live anymore.
