Let's not get excited over nothing....

No Jon Stewart = No Slauter Xstroyes.

It will be strange to see/imagine SX without Stewart, not only for the vocals (one of the best Metal singers imo), but also because of the persona/attitude, this guy was wild on stage.

We have seen many-many bands lacking key members, SX will be one of them (at least in Greece, since if i recall KIT 2011 will be with Stewart), but i am with Laurent here, let's wait and see...

Someone (who had seen them obviously) posted on this same forum that (don't remember exact words) "even with a monkey singer they kill". I trust Brent Sullivan to the end when he says that they will play excellent, so all that remains, is to see if the singer of a certain level. Don't tell me that "Saint's Revenge". "Winterkill", "Metal's no Sin", "City of Sirtel", "Motherfucker" etc. will not move you even with an ok singer...

I know from now that they will work for me and i am trying not to illusionate myself to enjoy the show. Stewart is a HUGE part of SX but so is Brent and Paul, so i wouldn't go as far as degrading them that much.

If a SX reunion is "excitement for nothing", well, what about the COUNTLESS bands that have reunited?

ps. i guess that a video will be posted after the gig, so....

Interesting, I didn't even hear about this one. Add it to the list of gigs in Chicago that night.

I have tickets for Roky Erickson.

Stewart's stage presence is deeply missed.

The guy isn't that bad, but like I said, no Stewart = no Slauter

Yeah, they're definitely not the same without Stewart, the new guy just doesn't have that eccentric presence.

Still, it's Slauter Xstroyes all the same, and I'll be going mental to them at Up The Hammers next year regardless.
