Some more juicy updates:

Some proto-power metal from Aces.
Jitu, a band with a really tall guy and a really short one.
Wizards, no relation to the one from Oz.
Brainwash, nice green band-pic.
Iklim, cool guys in shades.

Only very few tapes of the 80's has been reprinted on CD:

I've been to Malaysia from last October to December and I were able to find only a bunch of bands on CD:

-May
-Rockers
-Bumi Putra Rockers
-Rusty Blade
-Search
-Wings
-Lefthanded
-Ekamatra
-XPDC

and a couple of old compilation tape reprinted on CD:

-Battle of the bands
-Clash of the bands

The sad thing is that I visited almost every music shop in Kuala Lumpur (supported by my ex girlfriend who sang in some metal bands in Kuala Lumpur, so she has a lot of connections there) and I couldn't find any tape of good old metal on sale.

Even at the notorious Ricecoocker Shop I couldn't find any 80's malay metal on tape, nor at the Sil Khannaz's music shop at the Campbell Complex...that was very strange...

Most of the olc albums are our of print only the major bands have re-releases on CD so if you wanna get the old tapes from back in the day you should check flea markets, one of the most popular ones is the AMCORP MALL in Petaling Jaya during weekends.

Anyways more updates with female fronted Shima, some colorful kids from Lela (aother of the malaysian childrens bands), acceptish Rajawali, thrash from Krax and some speed from Meditasi!

These tracks from countries near by are very fun to listen to and read about. Nothing spectacular but much appreciated!
