Proto-proto metal, that's late 50's/early 60's (delta) blues. Not Three Man Army.

Thanks for your support! :D I was feeling insecure knowing some people have put up this giant wall between Hard Rock and Heavy Metal and posting songs like this in the Land of Mystery forum (which I just couldn't bear to do).

The proto-proto thingie was kind of a joke. I considered the proto-metal sound to be developed during the mid to late seventies (even the early eighties in most parts of the world excluding the UK) relying on songs like this as well as and the obligatory early Sabbath/Purple/Sir Lord Baltimore stuff.

Hey, there's some quite effective double bass drumming on "Flying" as well...

...and Iron Maiden could have chosen to gallop away to "Space is the Place" on the B-side to Aces High with rather great success...

Well, I know we all live in different time zones and all that, but "today" I simply cannot accept any other nominations for Song Of The Day than this:

SARCÓFAGO - Christ's Death

NP the pic disc demo bootleg for the first time in years. (Heck, I might even flip it over and play me some good ol' NECROVORE for old time's sake...)

Yeah, i have read the lyrics and it is something like that, but i don't think he's singing very clearly the ''avenging angels'' part and i'm also hearing "to THE destroyers"...Anyway, i love the track, it's my second favourite Death SS track after Kings of Evil.
