Heavy metal, of course. Plain and simple.

I don't really care what sub-genre it is. I just want it as heavy as possible. I went for Doom 'cause it usually delivers the heaviest records.

Went for thrash metal but it depends. I really like the old school death metal sound aswell. And my background is black metal. Funny enough heavy metal, which is probably the favourite genre in here, is not even close to being my favourite.

I think he was just referring to a bunch of first wave black metal bands.
But does it slay witches?

Thrash metal , But to be honest i like all 80's styles , with some 90's oriented stuff , it just seems that thrash had 'more' "great" albums then heavy metal

I like these three genres, I just emphazised a preference for early Black Metal rather than the later stuff.
