Hmm I have the 1984 demo by ACT also but it has two more songs!
I also have the second demo Rubycon recorded in '84. If anyone's interested I can upload it here.

Unless you pay, all those uploading sites are made that way on purpose.

Free wise it's not bad, there are way worse ones that give you a million pop-ups and prompt you to download shit.

Thanks, I didn't know about these 2 tracks.

I also have a 1985 demo released by a band called AKT, what's the difference between ACT and AKT ?
Are they 2 different bands, or ACT changed the name into AKT ?

according to metal-archives Act changed their name to Verdict and then to Akt. So Act, Verdict and Akt must then be the same band!

Act and Akt are exactly the same.

Here's how it went:

Act recorded one demo and after that they recruited a new vocalist and changed their name to Verdict. Verdict recorded the Challenger of Evil demo before the vocalist left. The remaining band members reverted back to the old vocalist. Instead of going back to the original band name they changed it to Akt. Akt recorded one demo before the band split. Guitar player Janne Strandh continued in the same style with Zanity. The rhythm section of Act/Verdict/Akt also played in Shylock.

This is for sure among the best demo things we have ever had. Not to be missed! There was also a band called Snoggel before Verdict which have some great songs as well.

True. Possibly the best unsigned band ever from Sweden.

n000000000b!!1!!111!!!one!!lolz!!1!

SNOGGEL was pre-RUBYCON, not pre-ACT/VERDICT/AKT. And pretty dire if you ask me.

The awesome ZANITY-demo deserves more attention, so I added it to the OP.

The title track was actually played on Swedish national radio in '87, on our one and only hard rock/HM radio-show at the time; Rockbox!
