You forgot one of the best Nordic bands: OMNITRON!!!!
Personally I love the North European / Scandinavic thrash scene, especially the releases from early 90s, those bands created somewhat of a unique style ... for example Both Ends of the Path, Emotional Playground, Warmath, Masterpeace ... all great stuff!
... not forgetting Denmark, which, in my opinion produced the best European thrash metal album (BY INHERITANCE), however I still like Invocator more than Artillery, speaking for all albums.

Lot's of new names for me mentioned. Thanks everyone! Just wonder what kind of thrash most of these are.. I'm not a big fan of bay area style (though it has it's gems also) but slayer-like, canadian and german thrash are what kicks my ass. Is there any scandithrash similar to RAZOR, DESTRUCTION, INFERNAL MAJESTY, SODOM, KREATOR or let's say Hell Awaits-era SLAYER?
Edit. Ah had to start playing Artillery's By Inheritance. What a great album
Original and ass kicking tech thrash!!

Airdash and Stone are both awesome. The Erlking wrote:I know that Thrash Metal scene wasn't the greatest thing around here but was there anything worth checking? Any hidden gems? And what opinions do you have about North-European Thrash (excluding Russia now) anyway?
From Finland I know just STONE, AIRDASH & NATIONAL NAPALM SYNDICATE.
If I recall correctly the two others were pretty boring but STONE is ok. Though they don't make it to my favourites.
I've been meaning to listen to National Napalm Syndicate's S/T for a while but it keeps eluding me.

Never been big fan of finnish thrash, when I was getting into more underground metal whole scene was basicly dead. A.R.G. must be my favorite, first two Stone albums are good also (very overrated in Finland, their live dvd was good fun to watch), Mengele is fine, Protected Illusion (Marquee Recs. just released their stuff officially), Terrific Verdict has some good stuff also.
But Airdash? C'mon! Never had any good experience with Prestige also. They have some sort of compilation CD out now also (Prestige).
Check also out Metal On Metal vol. I compilation for finnish thrash. Pyrotoxic could also be something in the future also. Next Malicious Death album should be killer also (from what I have heard of it), if they just get a decent vocalist. And where is Jumalation, Anthares?!?!?
