I don't like playing obscure stuff if I'm partying. Even my friends who are metalheads will want some stuff that's a bit more known rather than something unique and quirky.

I find the best drinking music bar none is MOTORHEAD. Everybody knows the words, everybody can scream along drunkenly before staggering to the toilet to puke.

Arhh... most of my friends aren't into metal at all... but when we party at my home the records who get constant air play are:
Black Sabbath - Master Of Reality
Black Sabbath - Sabotage
Motörhead - No Sleep Til Hammersmith
Metallica - Ride The Lightning
Megadeth - Rust In Peace
...and of course nonmetal stuff such as:
Pink Floyd - Echoes (comp.)
The Beatles - some compilation without name...

Before I go out, I tend to play the whole PLEASURE TO KILL LP at insane volume in combination with some sixpack of german beer. EXCITER and ANVIL do also great services. The next morning CIRITH UNGOL or some great old doom will help me to get rid of that terrible hangover...

DaN: You forgot to mention FUCKER! :)

Some songs I have to hear when drinking are "The entity" by Dark quarterer, "The way (your soul must go)" by Living death, anything from the two latest Blitzkrieg releases, anything from Gillan's "Magic" lp, Black sabbath's "Heaven and hell" lp and everything by Judas priest.

In the Victim Of Chains LP by GRAVESTONE the word beer is refered some times so if you add the Acceptish metal you'll get another one drink :) candidate at a party soundtrack.

Parties here are different from now and then...but its always something like:

to start off: Exciter,Judas Priest,ManOwar,(early)Running Wild and maybe some "thrashy classics" here and there

once we are already wasted its time for audience petitions:

from Angel Witch to Chateaux....ACCEPT and then some MAIDEN...and then its always is about Pokolgep -Metal ASZ ESZ to sing along, ooh yes!....Demon is frequently played for that matter too....to close the night and recieve the day with good pukes, something smooth, some Helloise,Queensryche and/or Heavy Load (which can enter at antime at the party)

good times,good times.... :D

What I remember from last friday at friends flat it was "Better Off Dead" by Sodom, some Thin Lizzy, AC/DC, Unleashed (I suppose the debut) and something else.
One LP that has been lately spinning while drinking is "Triumphant Serenade" (Tales Of Medusa). And everything by Omen. Pokolgep and Rotor also make me thirsty.
