I haven't checked the label link in a little while, but I think newer labels dedicated to the 80's should be added like Doomed Planet Records, The Miskatonic Foundation, etc. Those are awesome labels, labels I loved before I started mine.

It is a compilation from 1988, including among other bands, Overlord (CAN)!!!
The cover is the logo of Criminal Response Recs. but it was released by Reaction Records with serial UNREST 10

Does anybody know sth about that record?

I have a few of the albums on the Reaction Records ebony-sub-label, but not all since some are very obscure and some are non-metal, DaN, do you need what info I have?

Those are great labels and surely more deserving of attention than many of the mediocre 80's ones already listed. The reason I haven't delt with them (yet) is the same reason I haven't interviewed any newer bands or reveiwed new albums - that The Corroseum website is mainly about Metal Archeology. Not because of "obscuria-snobbery" on my part, but because I just don't have the time to run an up-to-date HM webzine. It's just the profile I've chosen for the site and I think it makes it if not unique then at least special.

On the other hand, maybe the labels with focus on rereleasing old Metal like OPM or Doomed Planet should get some honorary pages? Not a bad idea, unless it's already been done?
Reaction Records
Yeah, I saw that comp at Mr. Arc's site. Perhaps I'll add them later, if only for the Ebony-connection. Anyone know roughly how many releases they did? How many of them were Metal? And were they the straight continuation of Ebony?

DaN, here are some photos for your discogs, let me know when you have them and I'll delete them from photobucket. photobucket also truncated filenames.

Hey, that's cool. As long as you grab them eventually, cause like you said, those are better than all of the mediocre 80's labels out there...

I started working on a Night Gallery discog but only came across CRY-MAX, DEAD END, PARANOIA, MÄZERAN and AION, while there seemed to be many unknown releases inbetween judging by the serialnumbers. Were they really a Metal-focused label? If you know more, let me know.

I think that Under One Flag should be added next.

What a damn good label.

Been thinking about doing both Under One Flag, Axis and their mother-label MFN. The boring part is that they did so many license-pressings. The same reason I've been waiting with Roadrunner and Steamhammer. But I'll probably do them all eventually.

Cool, I look forward to all four of those.

This label index is turning out to be fantastic.

I've already used it several times for referencing.

It's nice to have such a thorough list in one convenient spot.

Edit: When you get around to doing the Roadrunner index don't forget about Roadracer/RC.

Just finished a page on the early Megaforce-stuff, but I'm embarrassed to say I didn't have one single release by them with the original MEGAFORCE RECORDS logo on it - only the Euro-pressings

Can anyone make a scan of it? (ie not the Megaforce Worldwide logo)
I will have to be between 500-1000 pixels wide from fist to fist, just so I'll have something to work with in PhotoShop. Colors doesn't matter.

The Logo is quite small on the cover, so the quality is not that great !
Really needs to be Photoshoped !
