1986 many records came out, esential thrash albums like Master of Puppets, Reing In Blood and so... DARKNESS DESCENDS RAPES'EM ALL!!!!!!

I mean listen to this shit is one of the most brutal Thrashers of al time and by 1986 this shit was like Death Metal back then, superbly malevolent, a magnum opus, just the fist song is worth the price of all the record!!!

P.D. The drummer in Darkness Descends is master Gene Hoglan  :D

Same here, some nice songs, that's fucking it, as overrated as Reign In Blood, the epitome of thrash my ass. Darkness Descends is a great album but IMO a bit overrated as well, mainly due to the fact it's the most known "obscure" thrash album

Besides Leper Messiah, the rest of Master of Puppets is pure songwriting perfection. And I guess Disposable Heroes is overlong.

We could start a "Master Of Puppets" thread :D It's maybe one of the most discussed albums (besides here) ever, so what you think?

The most "known obscure" album would be either Hymn To Abramelin or Seven Churches. 8)

I've never heard of "Hymn To Abramelin".

No, 'we' didn't.

Some of my favourite bands were influences on Metallica. But when I put on one of Metallica's records, I all hear from those influences are a coupled of stolen riffs and such and a giant pile of shit.

Swiss band Messiah's 1986 - Hymn To Abramelin.

At least I openly admit I held metallica as gods :P :D

Gene Hoglan's best part on this album were extraordinary lyrics, not the drumming; great writings!!!

Death is certain
Life is not
Your mind lies dormant
Proceeding to rot
The final curtain
Has drawn its close
When death is certain
The end unfolds!
