The demo scene is so vast. I had never heard of Panther eventhough it looks right up my alley.

By the way, there was a second (earlier) Agoraphobia. I have a tape called Arterial gangrenous splatter from 1989.

For Arkham I can't say much more as Metal Archives says, since I don't know where the submitting guy has got his info from, but these Breathless bands are 2 different bands indeed. Both with a completely different style and vocalist. Furthermore the songs "Cought in the heat" and "Normandie" from Metal Tracks 3 also are featured on their first Demo from October '85, but in low quality versions. So the Peine Breathless have re-recorded these 2 songs at the D&S Studio. The old Metal Hammer Mags features one advertisement of this label in each issue where they invited bands to send them their Demos for future releases.
The other Rocket track I can manage to upload I guess:

I'm aware of this band, just a bit busy with searching thru the old Mags atm.

Thank you for your magnificent work, this is a dream come true. I absolutely love the look and the reasonably open-minded criteria for inclusion.

I was especially delighted to finally see some light being shed on CELTIC BREAKFAST. That mystery has been bugging me for years (decades?)

There's a few murky bits of information that I can offer on that "band".
While the frequent mentioning of CB in Metal Hammer magazine may hint at an inside joke of the writing staff, I think there is a bit more to that, but bear in mind as there is a joke element to everything concerning that band, anything should be taken with a grain of salt.

Image
Celtic Breakfast supposedly actually did play live a few times, purely judging from this flyer, a few other mentions and one eyewitness report i've read on another forum.

Image
The second issue of the "Evil Cunt" Fanzine has a review of a 1986 3 Song Demo with a contact address. Evil Cunt (later 'Moronic') was a joke fanzine created by Jochen Graf and Michael Geisel from A.O.K. mostly comprised of satiricial interviews and reviews of both real and fake/made-up bands. All issues can be found on here (Thanks for that!).

Image
The third issue came with a cassette compilation 'Moronic Joke Demo Sampler' that included one Celtic Breakfast song ("Don't Burn the Toast"). Then there was either a name-change or a spin-off group happening by the name of CELTIC BUTTFUCK that did another incredibly scarce demo, "Grrrmmmpf“ (1987)

Finally, this may be common knowledge to some, but that supposed photo of CB band member Yngwie Edvaldson is actually a cropped out picture of american metalploitation band EXORCIST.

I almost want to hear them now. This interview mentions a 2nd demo titled "The Fatal Pancake" btw: https://thecorroseum.org/fanzines/large ... 02-06a.jpg

Тhis is my most visited website (along with metal-archives.com).I like to find and systematize all the hard and heavy music in the late 70's to early 90's by country. I'm not a collector, but I have a large archive of mp3 albums and many lists of bands, metal magazines and books.
I'm interested in groups that have released something on vinyl or CD. On the other hand, the demos of many great bands are reissued on CD, which is great.
"The Heavy Metal Mania ~ The German Hard Rock and Heavy Metal Guide ~ History forged in Steel 1978-1993" is a long-awaited endeavor and I sincerely welcome it. I'm sure there are no secrets about German metal for Prowler, and I know it's only a matter of time before this guide grows.
I will be happy if I can help in this great work with the list below. These are mostly things released on vinyl, but there are also some CDs. Of course, many more bands can be added, mostly melodic, hard rock and AOR, from https://heavyharmonies.com/ and https://melodic-hardrock.com.
For some of the bands in the list I'm not sure that they are stylistically for the Guide, for others if they are German, and for others if they exist at all. I apologize if I duplicate some of the bands that are already in the Guide. I will be very grateful if I receive information about Unlimited - a band that is the subject of my long search, and maybe a mistake of the authors of the book “Heavy Metal – Made in Germany”
http://www.mediafire.com/folder/hyucv22 ... in+Germany
Finally, I would like to apologize for my English.

Aaargh, you kill me ....
Celtic Breakfast will be updated soon. Funnily all Celtic Breakfast Metal Hammer info ended after summer '87, saying in the last report (each issue from spring to summer '87 got at least one small CF feature) that Yngwie secretly learned playing and now can play an accord. So the drummer left the band! ROFL
And the psychos even printed shirts, one of the Holy Terror guys when playing in Germany '87 wears a CF shirt! Personally I think the band was wether a joke like AOK or some real musicians used to joke on stage. I've never seen any of their Demos and I was die hard tapetrader. There's simply nothing to find of them. And by using a pic of Exorcist (lol) it makes the whole even more suspicious.

@ emosteel:
Thanx for the megapost!
Some of these bands are already on the to do list, some had just covers missing and others we simply need music files for to confirm they belong there or in general. But nevertheless, there was quite a bunch that was unknown yet and I guess I've just spent about 200 Euros to buy some of them.
That "Unlimited" band I got no more info either. I was searching everyhere, there is no such a band to find.

Aragon’s Fantasy Rock Band – just plain Rock - I had the single
Ballermann – Don’t Stop Fighting – LP – 1984 - same as above, couldn't find Hard Rock sounds there
Battle Chryst - God's Worriors - Testpress-only 12" (Priv., 1986) - I have this one BUT to be honest, I doubt this was recorded in the 80's, sounds like a Power Metal joke band from the 90's or later, doesn't have the 80's spirit either, more modern sound/style and especially the cover pic that comes with the vinyl was definitely computer made
Elements Of Darkness - Deo - LP – 1990 - seems indeed like they are swiss
Lee White – Spotlight / Say It Aint True – 7’’ – 1991 - swiss band
Night Gambler - Nightgambler - LP – 1986 - swiss band
Peter Roberts Army - Peter Roberts Army – LP – 1981 - austrian band

Battle Chryst is a record from2007 made by Andi from Iron Glory Records IIRC. I think 10 or 20 copies? Andi is singing. I never heard it (one song on youtube is enough to tell me this is Andi) but I was offered the record more than once and no I did not want to pay the asking price.

All i know for certain is that the Moronic tape compilation exists, so it's not too far fetched to think that there are at least a few CF recordings out there. There was a very small and short-lived scene of joke / "funcore" bands in and around Hessen in 86/87 with bands like AOK, Blood, Celtic Breakfast, Schleimcuttel and many one-off projects from the AOK guys like Ebbelwei Express. If there were demo tapes they were probably just handed out within that small group of friends.

Hauden & Lukas ‎– Kopfhörer – 3tr CD Single – 1988

Hahahahaha! I used to have that CD single but would've never considered it remotely metal or genuine hard rock, just plain bratty Deutschrock. Just listened to it for the first time in 20+ years and I guess long-haired kids playing commercial AC/DC-ish rock & roll does kinda qualify. Thanks for the reminder.

I first read about Battle Chryst in post # 27 on OmenOfSteel here:

viewtopic.php?t=479&start=15

Some of my most obscure German Metal:
AXEWORK - SAME LP (Unit Art, 1984)
BATTLE CHRYST - GOD'S WARRIORS Testpress-only 12" (Priv., 1986)
BLACK STAR - PLAGUE IN LUCIFERS MIND Testpress-only LP (Priv., 198?)
BLOODY MARY - SAME LP (Unit Art, 1985)
COURAGE - GOLD AND IVORY MLP (D&S, 1986)
DEZTROYER - CLIMATE CHANGE LP (D&S, 1991, only 100 copies)
HAWAII - BOTTLES AND FOUR COCONUTS Demo (this is post-/pre-GRAVE DIGGER, hilarious demo!)
MOON ROSE - SUNNY SIDE OF THE ROAD 12" (Biker News, 1989, w/MONROXE girl on vocals)
NIGHTWOLF - DARK OF NEW EMPIRE Testpress-only LP (Wolverine, 1989)
PHARAO - BAD BOYS FROM EAST LP (Game, 1991)
PUSSY LOVER - RAINBOW IN YOUR EYES 7" (Private, comes in 10" cover, 1989)
YETIH - MODERN HARD ROCK Testpress-only 12" (Private, 198?)

There are two more "Testpress-only" - NIGHTWOLF and BLACK STAR. NIGHTWOLF is already in the Guide, but BLACK STAR - PLAGUE IN LUCIFERS MIND is probably Demo outtakes '80 + '81 by Yngwie Malmsteen :
https://www.discogs.com/Yngwie-Malmstee ... se/6803252.
Here the first song is "Plague In Lucifer`s Mind", which makes too many coincidences. Maybe someone will clarify the issue.

The "Black Star" LP is indeed an Yngwie Malmsteen bootleg ... but clever announced

Btw, if contributors wanna see their real name thanked instead of just your nicks mentioned, just drop a message to DaN or me.
