Black Shepherd (Bel) demos 1986 - 1989 (restored-mastered)

Post by malegys »

Black Shepherd here from Belgium, with their 1986 & 1989 demo tapes.

-Demo # 2. United evil forces. February 1986
Second killer demo here by Belgium's BLACK SHEPHERD called "United evil forces". Four tracks of brutal bestial black thrash that was ahead of it's time really. Sounding like an unholy mix of Bulldozer , Poison (Germany) & Demo-era Possessed. Restored & mastered from the original 31 year old cassette tape.

-Demo # 4. Welcome. 1989
Here's BLACK SHEPHERD's 4th demo tape called "Welcome". This was released after their disappointing 1988 LP. This tape has similarities with the LP as well, namely it's nowhere near as tight as their early demos (1985-1986) again & musically not as brutal either. Sounding more like a sloppy death-thrash band ala Sodom with "Obsessed by cruelty". But sound-wise it's an improvement with much better production. Restored & mastered from the original 28 year old cassette tape.

United Evil Forces is a classic. It reminds me also the raw, bestial sound of the south american bands.

What's in between demo #2 and #4?

Trivia: there's two versions of United evil forces. Only some slight lay-out differences though.

Not sure what demo 3 is, but the first "pressing" of the UEF demo has a red & black cover, the second & later one didn't. I think it was just a Black & White cover actually.
