I just got the find of the year for me. An completely unknown Swedish Heavy metal band called LIZARD and their (probably only) demo cassette from 1986. There's 2 tracks, they both KILL completely. Think a mixture between ACID and Swedish band WITCH. Not included in the new 912 pages long Swedish metal Encyclopedia by Janne Stark.

Here's Another great find I did earlier this month.
Apparently, this was made in 50 copies, all with handdrawn inlays by the band and signed. All copies had different parts of lyrics from the songs written on the fold out too. On mine, the bridge of "the chosen one" is written down. :) Their one and only demo, and the chosen one was included on "Metal Knights : The Resurgence of Swedish Steel 1983-85 LP" from 2003, released by Stormbringer.

Can you (or someone else) please list the the albums in this picture? I'm a huge fan of Aria but but the other abums I never heard about (Except Corrosia Metalla and Master), would be interesting to check out!

Aria - Credo - Varvar
Magnit - Korrozia Metalla - Master
Valkyria - Oblachnyj Kraj - First Aid

Are those Aria reissues worth it?

First row: Aria, Credo "Paying For Everything" 1991 (excellent masterpiece of melodic metal with classical influences, absolutely fantastic), Varvar "Zverinaja Bezdna Ubjot Vas" 1994 (Skullcrushingly brutal and raw stuff, brilliant, Review can be found on The Corroseum).
Second row: Magnit "Dies Irae" 1989 (Pre-Credo, similar in style, Review can be found on The Corroseum), Korrozia Metalla, Master.
Bottom row: Valkyria "S/T" 1993 (Kind of weird progressive Power/thrash metal, an acquired taste but excellent in my opinion, only English sung album in the photo), Oblachnyj Kraj "Svobodi Zahoteli?" 1990 (Truly original and truly Russian metal with folk influences, Review can be found on The Corroseum), First Aid "Hellraiser" 1991 (Basically the Russian answer to Accept, sung entirely in Russian despite the English title).

Varvar is mega rare, Credo and Valkyria are rare, the others aren't really any rare or expensive at all if you have a little patience.

They look great and sound great, but they are over priced. This label seem to go with the same tactics as Night of the Vinyl Dead, tiny editions, high prices unfortunately but I really wanted these so I spread them buttcheecks and let the Russian neo-capitalists have their way with me.

Only first two + the three that were originally issued on vinyl + Chimera have been reissued on vinyl so far. Waiting for the rest of the catalog...

I must have missed sth on the way (no wonder), but I remember hardly anyone has even seen it.

Per-Ola, how the ... have you managed to get it? What have you traded for? Detest (Swe)? Or what sum have you paid for?

I bought it from Igor when he advertised a copy for sale right here on the Corroseum. It wasn't cheap that's for sure, but I don't regret it one bit.

Actually a copy was sold on Ebay last christmas as well, for right about the same that I paid for my copy. For me it was the third most expensive record I ever bought (and I have only bought four records in that price range in my life).

DaN has it also, so it does exist and we probably haven't seen the last copy offered but yes it is insanely rare. Who knows, one of these days somebody might uncover 100 unplayed copies in a closed Russian military base and it won't be so rare anymore. :)
