The Unofficial Corroseum Compilation Compilation Volume 3

Post by Keir »

By popular demand, here is the third mix CD featuring a selection of obscure and exclusive compilation tracks. Unlike the first 2 volumes, this was compiled solely by me (hence the "Unofficial") and I apologize for the resulting lack of diversity.

Many thanks Kier, i'm looking forward to hearing this.
The 1st two editions still get very regular plays round these parts.

EDIT
Played it through 2 or 3 times now and you've done a sterling job here, it's a mighty fine listen yet again. So far the songs which lept out at me and caught my ear straight away are the contributions by Mythiasin, Frenzy and Airquick.
Great stuff, thanks again.

Hope you don't mind Keir, i took the liberty of knocking up some CD artwork for the compilation in case anyone wanted to burn it to disc.

Damn, too late, I had a suggestion for the next volume (when only 2 existed), I guess I have to wait until later...

This will be a fun listen, thanks for your work!

EDIT: Listened through it now, you did a really great job with this compilation, I specially enjoyed the songs from Airquick, Marienthal, Insania, Crazy Ms. Dazey, Lenten Rose, Nitro, Rambunctious, Spellbinder, and Godspeed.
Thanks again!

It's a bit of a mixed bag with almost half being bad glam/sleeze (to be honest, I was going to include LAZARUS SIN, but then I realized it was an album track!) Here's the tracklist for Oregon Metal:

1. PASSION FATAL - Closest Thing To Your Heart
2. PASSION FATAL - Play With Mine
3. X-PIRACY - Carry A Gun
4. ZOO GANG - Tasmanian Devil
5. LAWLESS - High Road
6. HUNGER - Repeat Offender
7. CRUELLA - Fight The Dragon
8. ROADKILL - Abyssmal Apparition
9. LAZARUS SIN - Out Of The Box
10. CRYSYS - Get Out

Are these two thrash or even death metal? Roadkill maybe?

6. HUNGER - Repeat Offender

8. ROADKILL - Abyssmal Apparition

Yes, Roadkill is thrash. Pretty good too, reminds me of Hallows Eve. I tried to find some info on them but all I know is that they were from Portland.

Sweet, I'm always interested in underground bands but sadly some of these local compilations sometimes contain 90 % Pop/Rock and 1 Metal act so I'm not tempted to spend much money for them. Nice to get the trax this way. In Germany are many of these local city compilations as well, but shitty prices ... so many unknown Metal bands that just put one track on vinyl ....
