I checked only the last (2) page for this one... but I'm afraid there is a new title to be added to the bootleg list:
Exodus - Bonded by Blood (Torrid 1985) press...
Pretty much identical, but the printing on the disc fails miserably. Especially the small characters under the COMBAT logo on the left side. The paper is different this time, not the shine one, but some matte, not glossy paper... the front cover is printed in a much darker tone... under the tray my copy has some colorization from the back side too, some blue ink remains in a thin line... neither the disc has the shiny outer ring as usual.

Based on the 2nd picture that looks like an original 3rd pressing of the disc on combat/torrid to me, it has the normal nimbus matrix and even the fuzzy stuff on the top that some nimbus discs have. If it was a bootleg someone sure went through an insane amount of trouble to replicate the old nimbus disc design.emperor.zola wrote:I checked only the last (2) page for this one... but I'm afraid there is a new title to be added to the bootleg list:

If you take a look on the disc here:slayerhatesusall2 wrote: Based on the 2nd picture that looks like an original 3rd pressing of the disc on combat/torrid to me, it has the normal nimbus matrix and even the fuzzy stuff on the top that some nimbus discs have. or Sovdat's original

--- the borders around the Exodus logo are fractured as well. I'd like to have the original, but I have serious doubts about that.

The ebay link looks like the original usa 2nd pressing, at a different plant then the nimbus one, sovdats picture is the original made in japan 1st pressing, the nimbus one is the 3rd pressing, probably made around 1988-1989 before the cover was changed.emperor.zola wrote:If you take a look on the disc here:slayerhatesusall2 wrote: Based on the 2nd picture that looks like an original 3rd pressing of the disc on combat/torrid to me, it has the normal nimbus matrix and even the fuzzy stuff on the top that some nimbus discs have. If the disc has the common issue of the “lacquer” on the top surface being soft and easily imprinted or scratched then it's from 1987-1988. The issue was fixed come 1989 on all US made Nimbus CD's.

Could you check the photos of the original here:Heathen wrote:Where can I buy this Exodus bootleg?
looks original to me.
EXODUS-Bonded by Blood,1985 Torrid/Combat
and my disc?
Especially the text "All Songs Published by Exodus...", especially my capital letter A and P....
and again, the text under the COMBAT logo is completely unreadable on my copy.
Still vote this as an original? I'm very curious now!
You cannot keep comparing different pressings of the CD when it comes to clarity of the print... The color of the face of the disc and the matrix appears 100% legit for a Mastered By Nimbus CD manufactured in the USA.
So do this correctly and find someone who bought the Mastered By Nimbus pressed CD back in the day, and compare to that instead...

But people lie about when they bought shit. Especially when selling it.Warepire wrote:So do this correctly and find someone who bought the Mastered By Nimbus pressed CD back in the day, and compare to that instead...

I know that, I didn't say it would be easy.Avenger wrote:But people lie about when they bought shit. Especially when selling it.Warepire wrote:So do this correctly and find someone who bought the Mastered By Nimbus pressed CD back in the day, and compare to that instead...
The other option is to gather a hell lot of photos and see if any of them have a different CD face print.
