"A Sultan's Ransom" is obviously Power Metal quite far removed from the traditional style of the other bands listed taking huge influence from the US scene around the same time.

"To The Devil A Daughter" I wouldn't even consider Metal. It's boring Hard Rock with super annoying group sung commercial chorus'.

About Cloven Hoof's sultans ransom: Well, in music terms i dont agree. You can say it has some power metal moments, but not as an entire album that fits completely the term . If the european power metal is described with albums like Helloween's Walls of Jericho, and the American Us Power with bands like Metal Church,Ruthless,Liege Lord,Jag Panzer etc, Sultans ransom is not power metal. The UK never had a power metal scene, so even if sultans ransom is heavy/power it makes no difference to talk about 1 album. And it would be more strange if i had on the list only Dominator and the s/t Lp without Sultans, dont you think?
About Incubus: This is an album that I personally really like. I cant call it as hard rock. If you compare it with other classic albums from the NWOBHM movement like Ethel the frog,Praying Mantis or Shiva, i think it has much more hard sound. But as i always say, NWOBHM defines an era in metal music, not the so heavy sound of many bands that are involed with NWOBHM.

Now, here is the first 10 albums so far:

1) Angel Witch-Angel Witch 47 votes
2) Diamond Head-Lightning To The Nations 33 votes
3) CLOVEN HOOF SAME LP 22 votes
4) Praying Mantis - Time Tells No Lies 22 votes
5) Blitzkreig - A Time of Changes 20 votes
6) Elixir - The Son Of Odin 20 votes
7) HOLOCAUST-THE NIGHTCOMERS 20 votes
8 ) Satan-Court In The Act 20 votes
9) Tygers of Pan Tang - Spellbound 20 votes
10) JAGUAR-Power Games 18 votes
- Saracen - Heroes, Saints And Fools 18 votes

Next 5 albums
Demon - Night Of The Demon
Grim Reaper - See You in Hell
TOKYO BLADE-Night Of The Blade
Demon - The Unexpected Guest
Tytan - Rough Justice-1985

If you discount the big names, no matter how many polls you end up with, you'll always get "Lightnin the Nations" and Angel With self titled in the top, that's granted.

my list.

1 - Holocaust - The Nightcomers
2 - Diamond Head "Lightnin the Nations"
3 - Girlschool – Demolition
4 - Satan - Court in the Act
5 - Blitzkrieg - A Time Of Changes
6 - Tank - Filth Hounds
7 - Witchfynde - Cloak and Dagger
8 - Angel Witch "Angel Witch"
9 - Saracen - Heroes Saints and Fools
10 - Deep Switch - Nine inches of god

Next time someone asks me might come a little different, but these are the ones I remember now.

Angel Witch get more than double the votes that Satan get. That's why these polls are ridiculous. It passes a bit of time in work I guess.

Might as well just merge this thread with the UK Thrash one since other sub-genres besides Tradtional have been allowed to be included.
