Best Albums Of '84

Post by Avenger »

Avenger wrote:We'll stick to LP/MLP/EP/Single format. Sorry, no demos guys, because that would get too hectic. All sub-genres can be covered. This is not really an issue for the earlier years, but come the mid 80's Metal became a lot more varied.
I think it's damn well time we start this up again.

Anyone wishing to comment on the previous years that have been discussed feel free to do so:

1978

1979

1980

1981

1982

1983

I suppose my list would go something like this:

Anthrax - Fistful Of Metal
Exciter - Violence And Force
Griffin - Night Of The Griffin
Future Tense - Condemned To The Gallow EP
Hexx - No Escape
Armored Saint - March Of The Saint
Icon - S/T

Tons of ultra-classic stuff this particular year, plus the best metal album of all times

Judas Priest - Defenders Of The Faith

Probably it's easier to mention the not-so-classic albums

Have to add the Steeler (Germany) debut. One of the most spun album when I was 13-14 years old back in the mid-eighties. Not a perfect album by any means (esp the vocals) but I find it damn pleasant all the same (and the best album Axel Rudi Pell ever did, I'm sure).
