I was literally seconds from leaving the store because they usually dont have shit and I start flipping through the last pile of records and my girlfriend points out this goofy looking cover and i pull it out and check the back and see the hilarious band picture and knew I had to buy it. I honestly didnt know who they were until I looked it up later thinking it might be an obscure band. Little did I know how rare it was!! The address from the band isn't too far from where I was so it might have been a members copy. Ill post pictures as soon as I can!Nasty Uwe wrote:Holy sh*t!Pentagrammaton666 wrote:X-Caliber-Warriors of the Night LP for 3 bucks
A few minutes ago I was still listening to the Hot Metal CD and now THIS bargain post...
Great find though, congratulations.

It is rare alright, but the music is sort of poor-man's Dokken. One of the most overrated LP rarity for sure. Whoever branded it "Epic heavy metal" on MA must have been on some very special and potent drug...

No way, Stormspell!
It's not the best record in the world, that is for sure, but at least the title-track and "The sword" are great tunes that should not be missed by any US Heavy Metal fan.
Even "Someday" is very enjoyable although the one on the Hot Metal CD cranks too much.
I'd give the record 8/10 points though.

Okay, I listened to the album on my way to work today and you are correct: it is much more poor-man's STRYPER than Dokken. I stand corrected.
It has couple of decent tunes on it. The rest, however, are sappy melodic hard rock. Since more than half of the songs are cheese, I cannot give it more than 6/10, most of it for the cover-artwork
Look on it from the bright side though - if this album pleases you, you should be able easily to discover tons of arcane metal, since there were bazillion bands better than X-calibur. I sort of envy you for that.

Seriously, if this is not a total Stryper wanna-be, I don't know what else:

Would trade it for J.P. "Turbo", a very unique and unknown rarity from 1986!
hahaha thanks I'm looking for Japanese Metal and punk Lp's though! Pm a list if you have anything.

Damn good price, considering I haven't seen this pressing on ebay for over 4 years. Someone got lucky.
