Great read that, cheers for telling the tale. Really looking forward to hearing those rough mixes - the EP was one of the very best releases of the last decade.

Both mighty and superior. Thanks for this, Perry!

An enjoyable read, thanks Perry.

I chuckled at the part about being quizzed over your guitar pedal at the airport - that's happened to me too, they swabbed it with an anti-explosives tester before deciding it was ok!

I had the EP blasting while reading, it's a real favourite and it would be tragic if no future songs emerge...

And regarding the rough mixes, they're pretty cool - I like how the drums are less muddy.

As for what he's doing now, no idea. What happened back then was he owed money for his portion of the recording sessions, or for something else not clear on that. Rich decided to break into his apartmentand steal a bunch of rare 80's metal vinyls, which he then was selling via the Miskatonic site to recover the cost. Later they had met at a festival and as far as I know Rich had attacked Zellmer by headbutting him and it had ended with Zellmer being taken away by the police... It's a long time ago, that's what I remember.
