Corroseum Compilation-Compilation Vol. 2 OUT NOW

Post by DaN »

Yeah I know, it's been somewhat silent from C-HQ these last few months (I'm back in school = head elsewhere) but here's finally a site update, including another volume of obscure compilation goodies that me & Keir have been putting together. Do enjoy + let us know what you think...

First let me say that I just listened to the finished product and it sounds great! Second, I must not have bothered to read your review of LA Steel very carefully, because that is actually the same Pandemonium as the Alaskan band (they moved to LA some time before said comp. came out). In fact, the same version of that track was on their Hole In The Sky LP. However, you are correct that it is far better than their Metal Massacre track or anything on their debut. I know I couldn't believe it was them when I first heard it.

Very nice work. I'm enjoying quite a few of the tracks and almost all of them were new to me.

Very nice contributions from the USA this time!
That Shepherd track in particular is killer.
SNYDLY CRUNCH is probably the best/most stupid band name of all time too!

Well, thanks a lot for this compilation. Is there any more information of TEMPEST RIDE???, definitely the best track of the entire compilation, kinda reminded me to Jameson Raid.
Also, one other thing. The Stallion song (In Search of Power) have some flaws in the rip. Is there any chance to re-upload this one? Also, the Caid Deceit track have the first part of the first riff cutted (it starts like 2 seconds after the true beginning of the song).
Another highlights: Persia (I NEED to hear more of this band), Adramelch (after listening this track I finally heard Irae Melanox and it's fucking killer!!!), Virgin (where can I find the other two tracks?), Shepherd (kinda reminded me to Judas Priest) and Stallion. Any more information or releases by any of these bands??
Cheers, and again, thanks for uploading this compilation!!!

Persia started out as Royal Orleans. They released one single under that name with the tracks Hustling In Hollywood and Valley Of The Shadows. Hustling In Hollywood was later used on the first WRNO Rock Album under the name Persia. Both came out in 1981, but I am not sure if they are the same versions. You can hear a clip from the WRNO comp here:

The only other Persia track I know of was yet another version of Hustling In Hollywood on the 1985 WRNO Superstar Talent Search compilation.

Stallion have a few demos which are listed on metal-archives. You can also read more at the France Metal Museum (if you understand French).
