Oh, I'm stupid... didn't realize this was an old EP from 1986 re-released (with bonus tracks from 1979). I'll rephrase the question: is it as good as the debut?

Yes, it has been released by Retroactive Records, so it should be an official reissue. Some eBay sellers from US havie that for sale:

CD Baby in the US has both of these reissues as well. I ordered both a day or two ago.

I got these CDs in the mail a few days ago. As far as reissues go, they're very well done. There's also a link to a band website that is... well... entertaining. By "entertaining," I mean "batshit crazy" in parts, but it probably fits for this band. :)

MESSIAH – GOING INSANE, a holy present for Christmas ($1000)

Post by OpenMetal! »

Some weeks ago, while I was surfing the Net, I realised someone had spent $1009 in a 5 song metal EP with lyrics about christianity called GOING INSANE. MESSIAH, a heavy metal band from USA, released very few copies of it in 1985. So I was curious about this gold album!

After listening to some of its songs on YouTube, I loved it and I decided to get it in a cheap way. So, searching on eBay, I found that Retroactive Records re-released it last 26th of October. Now, once I’ve got the CD, I share it with you. Here you can listen to the 5 HOLY songs:

In conclusion, two questions:
Do you like this EP?
If you loved an original super rare metal album so much and you got the money, would you ever spend $1000 in it???

Greetings from Spain!

Yes there was a thread about this reissue elsewhere.

Personally I don't find this EP nor their LP astounding, decent melodic metal just that the melodies aren't memorable enough. When there has been a chance to get the LP I've sat listening closely to the tracks over and over, never getting the 'I have to own this' feeling, so unless it shows up real cheap I never will. The price of this here EP, is way way over the top compared to the quality of music.
