some others records from 1982 not listed:

Biscaya - same LP (Sweden)
Axe witch -pray for metal 12"
Black Rose- bo point runnin' 7"
Conspiracy - same LP (US)
Hammerhead - time will tell 7" (NWOBHM, G R E A T!)
Heritage -remorse code LP (I love this one!!!)
Soldier - sheralee 7" (Hystorical NWOBHM!!)
Tytan -blind men and fools 12" (Exceptional tune!)
Totally agree on SOLDIER, TYTAN and HAMMERHEAD. But BISCAYA was a major disapointment for me, as good as it looks like, but musicwise very boring.
Where were you in '79 when the dam began to burst

you find it boring?

for me is funny and relaxing hard rock; yes, "Sheralee" and other tunes are better, and this one is not so "metal" but I like it.

I just did and it still doesn't sound like much compared to their later stuff. It was a decent start, but they would improve quite a bit later on (and then deteriorate quite badly).

@From_the_Fjords: I quite like the Biscaya album too. I know most metal-fans would probably disapprove, but their 70s and more melodic 80s hard rock moments are pretty well done IMO. And their best tunes are really good.
I know I ain't doing much,
doing nothing means a lot to me.

I agree, it sounds like there's a different singer too.

I probably wouldn't consider it the best of 1982 though.

I love "Swedish Metal" ! The only Mercy record I find rather boring is King Doom/Black Magic (awesome cover on the latter, though!)
