ELIXIR - All Hallows Eve 2010

Post by lunaboy »

This legendary band just released brand new album entitled "All Hallows Eve" and I just checked some samples on official YOUTUBE VIDEO .It sounds very very good.Much more powerful than I expected.Superb melodies and songwriting.Just sent an order for this CD.Also cover artwork is great.I think it would be superb if someone released it on LP.

I got this a few days ago and it's quite good. There are a couple of uninspired mid tempo songs in the middle of the disc, but the closing 14 minute song "Samhain" is just bloody great!

yes! I received this one week ago and is really a good album. Powerful and with high quality tracks (except a couple of tracks in the middle).

Another one good release after the comeback "Mindcreeper" (also great for me).

A the moment Elixir are one of the better bands resurrected from the NWOBHM era

Spinning it for the tenth time or something now and it's growing on me. I also liked Mindcreeper a lot but I do think that this new one will beat it in the end! Favourite tracks this far: Daughters of the Moon, All Hallows Eve and Samhain. Elixir rules! Now I'm even more convinced that I have to go to Metal Merchants.

I liked "Mindcreeper" too, but not as much as "Son of Odin".

Wow, they used a stand alone digital mutitrack. It sounds good from the samples, it seems like they know what they're doing, unlike a lot of bands. Plus they're interested in experimenting. I need to hear this.

I got it yesterday, listening to it while cooking so I didn't focus too much, but from what I heard it sounded great! The artwork is fabulous too. Very fitting with the Canadian autumn right now.

Great album! I've played it about 9-10 times, and it keeps getting better.
Love the last track!

The new album is that good? I didn't really like Mindcreeper much, but I'll buy this one, seeing as you're all happy with it and I'm easily impressionable. Should be interesting seeing them live in January.

I wasn't that much impressed by "Mindcreeper" too, you guys seem so enthousiastic about this new one that I'll order one soon.

I wasn't that impressed with Mindcreeper either, but believe me, this is in an entirely different league.

I sent an email to Phil Denton a while ago and asked that same question.
He said that they have a deal with a label to re-release Son of Odin on vinyl next year. And if they are happy with the final result, they might get the same label to release the new album on vinyl too.
He didn't mention which labal though....

99.9% chance it's High Roller Records like all the other NWOBHM bands.

The CD is quite expensive where I've seen it. Hopefully it'll become available at better prices soon.
