The Steve Crowther Band was a very limited issue, hence very rare nowadays, but few know about it so it happens from time to time to find it at "human" prices... :)
It will definitely be in next Macmillan' book, then it will be also one of the most sought after I guess (it happened the same with Valhalla).
Last copy on eBay this summer (with signed label) sold for 43gbp or so if I well remember...take a look at popsike

Thanks for the info! Yeah, that signed copy from this summer is the only copy listed on popsike and the only copy I've seen, so I didn't know if that was a typical price for it or not. 'Red Herring' is such a cool, heavy, trippy song!

Geez, why do I always fall for the expensive ones? :( Just once I'd like to discover some old obscure record I really like and have folks say, "oh that ol' thing? It shows up on ebay once a week and will never cost more than $5". But instead it's always, "oh, they only made 100 copies of that; it shows up once every 5 years and costs more than you make in a month".

Seriously though, thanks again for the info! I never had found much info on that one

 I'm not quite that bad off :) From what Traitor said though it sounds like this single will usually sell for a lot more than 43 pounds; guess someone got a good buy on it this summer.

SCB is a really good single for sure, I wish I had place a bid or two and maybe won that ebay auction, but had no money at the time.

Here's some more NWOBHM stuff. :D

Awesome as usual Patrik!

Is the Salem sleeve original?

Can you post a bigger pic of the Midas insert? I've never seen it up-close (and considering how much that single costs, I probably never will!)

Thanks Alan! :)

The Salem sleeve is probably a photocopy. It it folded to the backside with "SALEM" logo also.

About Midas insert - The band probably scanned a article from a magazine or something and put out on a a4 paper. You can't even read all the text on it, haha. It came like this originally though.

How about the killer Steel Krazie 7" acetate from 1979 (3 copies known to exist) or Grim Reaper 7" on Ebony?

Now they are the real deal. 8)
