Oui. Your 1st instinct was correct.
My command of French isn't good enough to offer you any hints unfortunately.

Nicely done tbieri, the songs were 'Dead Set' & 'Dam That River'.

01. CARAVELLI/THE PARIS STUDIO GROUP - Accroche-Toi, Caroline (from the 'Voices In The Wind' LP (1967)) [Theme from the 'Vision On' TV series]
02. BALTIK - Leslie Briggs (aka 'Theme from Cult Of The Underdog') (from the 'Baltik' LP (1973))
03. ROSE TATTOO - Dead Set (from the 'Scarred For Life' LP (1982)
10. ALICE IN CHAINS - Dam That River (from the 'Dirt' LP (1992))

Just 15 left to identify :D

The one with the weird piano is HEAD EAST - Trouble.
Is that a Hungarian band right after? I don't speak a word of Hungarian, but I think I recognise the language.
After the intermission - SKULL FIST - Surrender.
Next is PIPER - Can't Live With Ya.
Also: 1994 - Shoot To Kill.
Next is THRILL - Rock N Roll Love Affair.

I'd really like to know what that song about "Playing With The Fire" is.

Sterling detective work gentlemen.
Impressed that you spotted Thrill in there Khnud, i didn't think anyone would get that one. I really like the Detroit-influenced sound of that one.
The "Hungarian"-sounding band you referenced were actually from closer to your general part of the world.

This one wasn't that hard for me actually. I've owned a copy for years, and I like it a lot.

Their sound reminds me of Ron Asheton's post-Stooges band The New Order.

Interesting! The only reason I haven't reviewed THRILL yet is because the intro riff sounds exactly like another song I know about. But I can't for the life of me figure out which one. Sadly The New Order wasn't the one I was looking for, but still quite accurate.

Could that soundalike intro riff perhaps belong to the Dead Boys 'Not Anymore'?
