Yay, the upcoming winter is looking a little less dark now. :-)

THE DICTATORS! Apparently they're right.
Followed by OCEAN covering the old Bernt Staf / Pugh Rogefeldt classic "Jag är en liten pojk".

Thanks for the link Khnud, i enjoyed that. Having now heard the original i have to give Ocean props for their arrangement of the song. They did a great job of keeping all the key elements recognisible whilst also giving it a flavour that was their own.
My go-to for surprisingly impressive reinterpretations is Priest's rejigging of Joan Baez's 'Diamonds & Rust', and this isn't on that level (what is?) but it's stilll a surprisingly effective makeover.

KIT: Since you enjoyed it so much, I took the liberty of translating the lyrics, which are rather weird. That's the 70's for you. :-D

Pugh:
I'm a little lad from the city
Who has gone to the countryside all day
I'm going to the cows in the pasture
To see if they have milk in their stomachs
Choir:
What are you going to do then?
Pugh:
Pick flowers for a friend
Choir:
Then you'll probably go home
Pugh:
Never will I probably go home

I'll make soup on a nail (1)
Catch some perch and whitefish (2)
And when I'm really full and rich
I'll meditate in a bay
Choir:
What are you going to do then?
Pugh:
Pick blueberries for a friend
Choir:
Then you'll probably go home
Pugh:
Never will I probably go home

Should all the bells ring ding dong
Should all the cars honk tut tut
Should all the heroes be beaten and stoned
Yeah, my party would be an arena
Choir:
Then you'll probably go home
Pugh:
No, I went to the desert then
Choir:
What did you do then
Pugh:
Stuck my head in the blue

I stuck my head in the blue
I stuck my head in the blue

(1) to make soup on a nail is the Swedish variation of the old folk tale Stone Soup. It means to accomplish something with basically no resources.
(2) the whitefish specifically mentioned is Coregonus lavaretus, a species which doesn't have a proper English name.

'Rather weird' seems like something of an understatement, even for the '70's.
Your translation was highly appreciated Kristian, thank you. I never would have guessed that the subject matter was so 'out-there' from hearing the Ocean version, with my understanding of Swedish shamefully limited to just 'skol' & 'tag'.
Strangely i did know the phrase 'soup on a nail' & it's meaning, which has me wondering if it's come up on the forum before somehow, however unlikely that possibility seems.

So, within two hours of this episode being posted we had a quarter of the contents identified, then nothing more in the 5 days since then? :|

Sorry, haven't had time to listen to the complete recording yet. Will hopefully be able to later this weekend.

No worries Khnud, i know how it goes. Sometimes, (as unbelievable as it sounds), music trivia must take a back seat to real life.

Finally got the time to listen through the entire episode. Apart from "Burn Bright, Burn Fast" by ELECTRIC FRANKENSTEIN, I didn't recognise any more tracks. I feel I should know that Danish one, though!

Oh wait, that has to be KISS - "Dark Light", right?

That Scottish footy commentary at the end was pretty hilarious too. :-)

Glad you found the spoof commentary amusing Khnud, it's by a comedian who calls himself 'MacKallister'. His YT channel is full of stuff like that, though you might need a working knowledge of Scottish football to get all of his references.
Congrats on I.D.'ing a few more songs from the ep, (out of respect i felt duty-bound to include that nod to the late Ace Frehley, despite Kiss's non-'underdog' status), the tracklist post has been updated accordingly. Almost half now identifed.
Rob or tbieri may be able to put a dent in the remainder.
I don't know if you "should" know that Danish band, i think it's fairly obscure & i only happened across them myself by chance quite recently. Track 15 though seems like one you could be familiar with given your fields of interest, (the snotty hard rocker with the copious leads & the chorus that incessantly mentions 'rock & roll').
