Borrowed Time and Harbinger new Bandcamps and updates

Post by fengisriprider »

Hey guys, two of my old bands have updated their bandcamps. In the case of Borrowed Time a totally new band camp was needed for Harbinger a long overdue update.

All recordings are now available for digital download from both bands for anyone who is interested.

Cool, i'll definitely check out some more Borrowed Time as i recall enjoying the few songs i heard previously.
Perhaps you could decode the lyrics to BT's 'Midnight Tygers' for us?
I had a go at interpreting them on page 8 of the "Did I hear that right?!" thread, but i'm sure i'm way off base:

Ok here's a pic from the lyrics sheet. The concept I came up with was of a Congolese sorceress women whose village falls victim to a militant rape, plunder and loot squad. She survives but uses her powers to hunt down and turn the gang into her own minions called the Midnight Tygers. The vocalist took liberties with the idea but it's mostly there haha. She takes revenge upon the whole world.

Thanks very much for taking the time to do that & for providing the background too. Interesting concept for a song & to be fair to the singer he didn't take anything like the kind of liberties with the lyrics that i did in my interpreatation.
Reading the lyrics along with the song it's plain that i need to get my ears syringed or something as it's all suddenly so clear now.
Can't believe that 'suspended animation' was the only phrase i got right.
Back in my band days we had a song where the chorus was the phrase 'Five miles of nightmares from home', and my friend swore blind that it sounded like i was instead singing 'I've got a knife in my hole'.
After that, every once in a while when we played it live i'd use his lyrical interpretation just to mess with his head. :D

I don't have a live version of that song unfortunately, just the studio version where i annunciate the correct lyrics quite carefully to avoid any possible confusion. An opportunity missed, with hindsight.
