This fest fucking ruled. Both nights were sold out. Secret band was MetalUSAfer, they played a Virtue cover. Leather Leone was the MC for the night. The Skull (ex-Trouble members) played three songs. The only band I saw that outright sucked was Axemaster, everything else was at least "great".

Standout moments musically:

- MetalUSAfer (award for "Best Drill in Show")
- Amulance (Award for "Best fat band") bonus points awarded for playing "7th Son"!!!
- Night Demon were Alright Demon (Just kidding, they ruled)
- Axxion (award for "best Geoff Tate mullet")
- Picture (first USA show ever, fuckin' great)
- Riot (award for "everything". They played "Outlaw." I almost evaporated)
- Dogbane (bluesy Helstar)
- Dark Design (award for "Best power metal cover of a Kansas song")
- Lady Beast ("show us yer tits! Unleash the terrible twins!")

- Visigoth (Award for "best singer who couldn't talk", seriously that kid has got some fucking PIPES)
- Witches Mark (Chee-hee-hee-hee-heesy goodness. Jason from Skelator did guest vox)
- Axemaster (I thought they sucked)
- Midnight Hellion (Award for "Best female James Rivera")
- Eternal Champion (Aside from Riot, easily the most fun I had all weekend)
- Possessor (Award for "best Mad Max" costumes)
- Argus (heavy heavy heavy heavy HEAVY)
- Voltax (most wild band I've seen in years. Fucking incredible)
- Grim Reaper (I grabbed my Garmin good and hard, bud)
- Ravish (hilarious. They sucked)

The Black Death performance is the best set I had seen in the midwest since Riot V the night before. Voltax gave the crowd a perfect feeling before Grim Reaper and destroyed everything in sight.

Also confirmed today: Attacker + Aftermath (80's Chicago thrash reunion)

Early bird tickets went on sale today and apparently 20% have gone already. Fantastic that a festival in the states is picking up steam. Already got my tickets.

This festival just gets better every year. It was great meeting Element0s and MEXDefenderOfSteel and I hope to see some more Corro-folks at next year's fest!

Not much else to add except that Black Death made this compoholic very happy by playing both "Taken By Force" and "Until We Rock"!
