I'll be there. Was just listening to Ritual earlier. Had a great laugh at the first one.

Anyone receive their tickets yet from that Skiddle website? Was just wondering if they've been sent out yet.

Cheers. I looked at the Skiddle website and it says they should be sent out in February.

Donal, I booked into the Travelodge from the Friday night to the Monday morning. It was cheap enough.

Back from the festival to my Essex mansion. Good festival but I think I am starting to show my age when I'm finding the third day a bit of a slog...

Nice to bump into a few people, Donal, Aiden and Luis from Hell Bent for Metal 'zine. Also met Bill Steer of Carcass fame. Not normally one for hero worship but had my picture taken with him. Also met Rodney from Devastation (TX) . I also tried to engage in conversation with someone who I thought was MEX Defender of Steel.... Who obviously turned out not to be

Saw some good bands with probably Truffle being the biggest revelation. Berlyn, Bashful Alley, Blitzkrieg, Hollow Ground & Fist all delivered the goods. Biggest disappointment were Sparta in my view.

Be interesting to see who they get for next years festival...

Sparta fucking sucked - that vocalist just did not give a crap.

Truffle ruled, Blitzkrieg with Brian Ross and Jaguar were fantastic too.

No, they pulled out a while before it.

Great festival but yeah, 3 bloody days! I'm still feckin' hungover!
Truffle, Witchtower, Bashful Alley. Evil Blood, Blitzkrieg and Jaguar were the highlights.
Sparta were a big disappointment. I ended up talking to one of them and he said something like 'I couldn't be bothered watching any of the bands'
The other letdown was the amount of slow ballad type songs played, especially by Gaskin. I guess it gives some of the older bands a break!

Great to meet up with Matt again and all the usual heads. Until KIT...
