Ragnarokkr 2013

Post by Keir »

I just bought tickets for next year's Ragnarokkr metal festival in Chicago. With bands like Omen, Ashbury, Shok Paris and Oz this looks like the closest thing to KIT in the US. Anyone else going or have experiences with the past 2 festivals?

We played last year and had a GREAT time. These guys are really dedicated(flying out voltax last year and now split heaven this year is pretty rad let alone the classic metal acts they get) and have stepped up their game with this one.

Our brothers in Demon Bitch are going to rock the second stage along with the mad Canadians in Gatekrashor.

More people should start supporting this festival,i totally agree with Jean about the dedication thing. I had great time both as a band and as fan, you get to party with everyone,an authentic aura of newly born true metal festival

seriously considering flying down there from Canadia to get hammered with my mates from Gatekrashor and see all the other cool bands/people. Will depend on finances...

This is definitely a decent line-up for a festival outside of Europe. Maybe I will make the trip down considering this would be a lot cheaper then flying over seas.

I wasn't too keen on those bands anyway (also can't say I care much about Viking, the first replacement band they've chosen.)

Both current re-releases:

TYRANT'S REIGN - Year of the Tyrants +1 CD
WRATH - Fit of Anger / Nothing to Fear / Mutants 2CD+DVD Set

Would be available at Ragnarokkr sold directly by the bands.
