The Basildon Iron Maiden release is quite good proto hard rock. The song "Falling" even contains the same galloping rhythm that would make their successors famous.

No, i think it hasn't gone to pre-order yet!?

I've noticed RA usually list it as Sold Out even though they haven't offerred the pre-order yet

This album has already been re-released on CD in 1998.

what boggles the mind is how utterly horrible the cover art is on both this new reissue and the 1998 cd.

Agreed.
Audio Archives had a rare and unfortunate knack for coming up with really naff cover art for their releases, but the Iron Maiden cover might well bear the dubious distinction of having the very worst artwork of them all.
