I got my vinyl today.

A side 4,5/5
B side 3/5

I cant really understand the hype around this band but some of the songs are actually really good. Some not so good.

Anyway, don't know if you guys saw this, but here it is anyway.

People have been saying that it's the Repugnant guys behind Ghost. So here's a pic of the mainman of Ghost and Mary Goore from Repugnant.

Listened to my newly arrived vinyl today. Some songs slay, some are meh. All in all, a quite decent album and it might grow on me.

It's catchy in all the right ways though I was a bit disappointed in the overall sound. Prime Mover sounds the best out of all the demo tracks re-recorded. Good stuff though.

I love this record. I read a ton of MF comparisons, but my ears hear more Blue Oyster Cult in the sound. Like a subdued goth edged heavy metal. Pretty cool. Plenty of sugar in there too, a whole lotta pop. I like hearing this kind of self-awareness, it's tongue-in-cheek but still 100% earnest in execution.

The demo tracks sounds remarkably similar to the LP tracks to me, the LP sounds like it has a beefy distortion on the guitars and a couple minor leads & some relish modified.

I didn't dig the sound either... too "crunchy" I guess?

Still enjoy the album though... but is it just me or is the drumming really boring?

Crazy that it's listed as the red version and not red/black marbled version which it actually is.

Still think it's crap.
Though I regret not buying a copy of the 7" when Costa/Iron pegasus was selling them at a gig and had like 50 in a box.

Little story that I wrote down elsewhere:
I was visiting my aunt and uncle last afternoon. They're elderly people (70 years old) and they listen to the "family radio station" which is the most listened to in Belgium. They play whatever is popular, and a lot of Dutch sung music. So in between songs like Eminem and Ed Sheeran I suddenly recognize something. Turns out they were playing the latest Ghost single.
After the song even the radio host said that 'normally Ghost plays heavy metal. But this song has very little to do with heavy metal'. It's some kind of crappy hair metal as far as I'm concerned, but it must be the first time that a band that released something on Iron pegasus gets airtime on the national radio station that is being played in almost every retirement home around the country...
