The new Exciter I think is the best one for me so far, with Portrait following close behind. Also, I have enjoyed the new albums of Manilla Road, Overdrive, Seamount, Lonewolf and Circle II Circle a lot.
Chroming Rose “Pressure” LP found! :D

I don't think I've heard any 2008 albums yet, but if demos count, I must go with Coprofagi's first demo. It shreds!
I am waiting for the new Machetazo album, surely it will be a killer.

Portrait - s/t. Aside from Priest and early Mercyful Fate (the solo in Hell reminds me of Devil Eyes), am I the only one who hears traces of Satans Host?
Manilla Road - Voyager
Arghoslent - Hornets of the Pogrom

All three were picked up recently and have only gotten a handful of spins each.

Portrait - s/t definitely stands far out. spin it every day since I got it and that means something.. Manilla Road - Voyager is great too and I'm quite sure Judas Priest can't do anything but slay. Nostradamus (the track) is promising, anyway.

I think I've only heard one so far, that would be Portraits debut. Someone should put a list together of new releases, I tend to never get around to picking them up till years later!

I haven't bought a lot of 2008 releases yet but I really like:

The Sword - Gods Of The Earth
Death Angel - Killing Season
Forefather - Steadfast

Seconded!

Also, Infiltration.Downfall.Death from Revenge (Can) was some killer effort! Jus had the chance to witness them live, btw, and I think this is the gig of the year, AFAIC.

I haven't bought too much 2008 releases so far. I like new TESTAMENT, GRAVE and LAIR OF THE MINOTAUR.

To me, the new Battleroar, but Portrait have also made a great album. The Exciter album is good, but I don't really see it being in contention for "album of the year". I'll give it a few more listens though.

Manilla Road and Pharaoh have made good albums as well, but not quite up there with Battleroar and Portrait.

Now that might actually happen. Really looking forward to the Enforcer album. Does it have a date yet?

Manilla Road once again mighty. Dead Congregation, yes. Not a lot of stuff in 2008 so far, really. Haven't heard the Portrait record yet, I gather I should.
