Alright!

We were at the show in Holland really early, expected lots of traffic but none whatsoever. Still missed W&D, I've seen them before and not really into them. Saw Croatia screw up a very boring match instead. Then Heretic came on stage. Some really filthy mix between Sex pistols, Motorhead with a black metal sauce and the singer looking like Glenn Danzig. I have all their demo's and the two full-lenghts but they sounded better live than on record! A pity they don't play live often because they are a live-band.
Finally Sabbat on stage, neckbreaking hamaguri asian die-hard black death metal cult! Sound could have been a bit better but who cares, tight set with an enthousiastic Gezol who even jumped into the audiance. Encore was Heavy metal hunter.

Then we went to Germany. Finding the place was a bitch, Koblenz really sucks to find your way. More people showed up for this show than the day before. We arrived when Nocturnal was playing their last songs. After that it was Metal king and Old, which I didn't see. No air in the venue and really hot. I did went to see Sabbat, again a great show. Ishidamien really is a good fill in for Gezol but I heard some small mistakes this night. Setlist more or less the same in a different order. Encore were two Metalucifer songs with Blumi on guitar! Gezol smashed his bass and threw the neck in the public, right on the face of my friend. Atleast he has the ultimate souvenir! And an open lip hehe.

So to summarize, I really enjoyed this weekend. Sabbat really is a strong liveband with an incredible backcatalogue of classic songs to play, and Gezol is a crazy frontman with his leather G-string. I'll upload some pictures which I took in Germany soon.

P.S.: funny, on those Danish pictures I can see some Norvegian guys who also went to Holland and Germany. I gave them a lift friday night, they called me a crazy driver

The Danish gig was less wild than the one in Helsinki, but the encore was pretty cool:
Heavy Metal Is My Way
Heavy Metal Drill
Warriors Ride on the Chariots
Heavy Metal Hunter

All with bonus bassist and guitarist and backup vocalists.

Damn I would've loved to hear Warriors Ride On The Chariots!

It was a close call for me not to get in too. Luckily I did get in later on. The funny thing is that even though I had bought myself in in advance (name on a list) I didn't encounter with the list the whole night!

The gig was, simply put, amazing. Even though I was in a rather fucked up state and didn't see/pay much attention to the opening acts, it was a great great night.
