NME - Unholy Death CD on Moribund - was this one bootleged? Two supposedly mint copies for sale at the moment on Discogs, one from Russia and the other from Romania, both neatly priced ... Hard to believe for a CD that should've been pressed in 777 copies nearly 20 years ago :?:

This one is a little odd. It seems genuine, but I haven't seen that type of matrix on a Noise CD of this era. I also own a Brain Damage that's WK44272, but it's a on a colored disc like most of the US releases by the label (in this case, yellow). I'd have expected the prefix to begin with N 0... just by looking at this one. Does anyone know what particular pressing this is?

I've always thought there were two pressings (EU, silver cd without barcode and USA, yellow cd with barcode 03xx), but according to MS database there are two pressings with barcode 03xx http://www.musik-sammler.de/album/10886

Also this same version was sold by UncleSaxon1500 in April 2010 http://www.worthpoint.com/worthopedia/v ... -100120498

You might want to ask details to the owners of those two MS entries ... one version has to be yellow one, and the other is maybe the one we are seeing in this auction.

Thanks for our reply. Yes, I thought the same thing. It seems this one is an uncommon case.

It's from Columbia House record club, I had a Sabbat Dreamweaver CD just like it.

edit:

If you see a strange CD like this, the first thing you should look for is "CRC" written on the disc and/or back cover, this indicates it was pressed for Columbia House (you can see it on the back cover of this Vendetta).

Yes, i had similar CRC edition of Sepultura "Beneath The Remains", but since someone from Discogs pointed me out this is not from 1989 because of DADC matrix and it's a record club edition i removed this from my collection. Never seen before this version of Vendetta album, but it's also have to be later press than 1988

Maybe discussed already on here but I am curious anyway. Checked my two Cyclone-copies lately and remarked some differences in the matrix, while the one has the matrix 'JR-CD-02-90 and so on' the other one has 'JR-CD-02-90 A2', it's there if you look carefully. I uploaded the scan below, maybe someone can tell me the difference between these two matrix-codes? Different versions?

If you look at the no-A2 pressing in counterlight, you will notice an A1 (almost invisible)

I think they are just two different batches, both genuine.

Interesting. Should only be one pressing though, Guido Gevels told me it was 1000 CDs / 450 LPs. They're both certainly authentic so this is pretty strange.

Is this a non-bootleg copy of the first Grinder album? Or is it just a well-made bootleg?

Thanks for the fast answer Yakish! Thought it was an original but I wanted to make sure.

Does anybody know this seller and how to tell if the Heavy Load CD is an original? I asked for pictures but he apparently cannot provide them now because he is not at home.

Also can someone describe their booklet/front insert to Carbide "Spiral Termination"? Mine is kind of weird. It has all of the lyrics but is bound only by a single metal element (I do not know how to describe it properly) and has a strangely wavy to the touch. It also does not have 14 pages as Metal Treasures says.
