Are they released on CD?
Of all the rare bands and releases mentioned here on The Corroseum, how many of these studio LPs have ONLY been released as LPs? What's your guess? 20%? (And I mean LPs that hasnt seen a LEGAL proper CD release)

Razor - Armed And Dangerous EP
- so far only available on Reborn Classics bootleg together with "Executioners Song"
Razor - Custom Killing
- so far I've only seen a bootleg
Griffin - Flight Of The Griffin
- two versions on Old Metal do exist but I guess they are bootlegs
Griffin - Protectors Of The Lair
- also circulating as bootleg only or was there a SPV midprice version?
Hexx - No Escape
Hexx - Under The Spell
- both are overdue on CD. the 2 on 1 bootleg is a shame
Trauma - Scratch And Scream
- another Shrapnel release which should be released on CD
Juggernaut - Trouble Within
- was already announced to be released on High Vaultage but it never was...
+ many many more...

Well, I wasn't really sure. There was this crappy SPV midprice series back then but these are not really worthy cd issues in my opinion, so I didn't buy them back then.LaGouille wrote:There are original (late 80's/early 90's) SPV pressings of these two.heavymetalmaniac wrote:Griffin - Flight Of The Griffin

Agreed.doomedplanet wrote:the amount of old metal never released on cd officially is too much to get a handle on, I don't know of anyone that has the time to make such a list.

There is no way to know without doing the massive amount of work. Also what genre of metal are you asking about? If you are not knowledgeable on glam and black metal these alone are huge fields that, in my case, I know or care little about. Also what do you mean by "Lp"? Anything on vinyl that is 12"? that constitutes 2 song 12" singles, 4 track Eps, 6 track Eps. etc. What about hard rock?

Like you've said, that percentage is nothing more than a wild guess. Needs a hell of a lot of work to come up with a result that is close to reality.
