Luchando por el Metal - an early Latin-American HM primer

Here's the latest "brand new" article of the Corroseum website, written by the alias Xecotcovach. An earlier version is/was previously featued over at Ride Into Glory.

It's not a completist encyclopedia (yet?) of every band in existance from this part of the world and I'm sure some people around here will be familiar with most bands mentioned, but I think it serves as a great beginner's guide to the early ears of this scene. Hope u like :)

Nice one. I'm in need of some serious schooling in regard to this era & geographical locale. It's long been easier to find out (in English) about the 70's South American Heavy Rock/Proto-Metal era than it was the 80's, so i look forward to some new musical discoveries through this piece.

Has ChatGPT developed a sudden interest in obscure metal forums?

Yeah, AI bots are the new plague of the internets. Deleting the accounts/messages as they turn up but will enhance the registration protocol asap..

I was baffled by that (now deleted) post so thanks for the clarification/explanation. The future's just going to be one long relentless horror show isn't it?
Happy new year everyone! :D
