Belated thanx for the FIX-tip, Prowler. I think I rejected them on an early stage, but in retrospect they're not that much heavier than for instance CARAT or LORD. I finally decided to give 'em the axe anyway since it seems the versions on the 7" are the same as on the LP (<---that LP has a couple of good melodic HM tunes though!). There's a comment on them in the Hungarian rejection list at least..
Exactly! Like Lord, Missio, Ablonczy Mihály and all these melodic bands acting between Hard Rock and Metal. They picked 2 of the better trax from the LP for that 7".

The Osmi Putnik thumbnail links to an Orient single cover.

Here's another ex-DDR Rock/Hard Rock band's single with an exclusive track on side B. Ultra obscure, only released in ex-Sovjet Union!

Dito that! I thought I got all ex DDR Hard Rock vinyls but never could even imagine that one of these bands would only release a record in a different country. The B-side track (I knew it from the radio though) was even with their old singer Ralf "Bummy" Bursy, while the a side was taken from the "Phönix" LP which was sung by their new vocalist. I wished there would have been more vinyls with Bummy on vox. He only sung on the rockish "Wir reiten mit dem Sturm" LP. But there there are more trax with him on vox as Matkowitz had his own studio, but most of these privately recorded trax between 1983-1989 only got radio airplay and TV video cuts, except of the "Phönix" LP of course.

For the record I'm well aware of that Melodia PRINZIP 7". Every time I come across it I think "now is the time to finally grab it!" - if only for completeness sake, then I listen to the mp3s and remember its useless/generic. melodic rock making Black Coffee sound like FRONT by comparison :/

Got another update to the page coming up soon tho'..

Since it turned out the versions on that 3rd and last (and great!) METALINDA 7" were exclusive after all I've added all 3 singles by the band to the Czechoslovakian section. Someone sell me their debut 7" please.

3 more Polish 7"s added (marked "new!"). The ZANDER one was a pretty cool new discovery...

Don't see many signs of a Maiden-wannabe on the Zander 7''.
It's not bad musically but being a instrumental single (without vocals) it just lost me.

The Zander is a pleasent surprise especially since I'm able to appreciate instrumental tracks more then most it seems.

Glad you shared this.
