The links to Aardschok 3,4 and 5 in the fanzine section are in fact links to Aaaarrghh magazine 3, 4 and 5.

Ha ha... makes me wonder... did the Aaaarrghh-guy pick that name just so he could beat Aardschok as first featured zine in a future Great Fanzine Encyclopedia?
I noticed the actual pages for those 3 issues weren't uploaded, so I fixed that and they're now reachable from the Zine section. Will update the News-page once I'm home from work..

An exceptionally cool fanzine-update! From Ray Berkis (Brutal Torture zine) I got some scans of trüe kült US and Canadian zines like Guillotine, Metal Slaughter, Metallic Assault, Cerebral Devastation and more!
Also added are the last couple of Rumblefist's contributions + another batch of Aardschok's. 'appy readin'!

Thank You Dan !

A handful more to my Archive.
But nothing hyper-special this time on this lot.

I think i stated this before
As it goes for me, what i look the most is everything on obscure or more undergroundy trad/speed and thrash (not the primitive) mostly on Demos Reviews, but also the Line-Ups, and when it comes to the belgium/dutch also some interviews and bios can be found.
That's what still motivate me today - to listen more of the unknown 80's and to know a bit more.
Don't follow much the actual scene. Unless some friend recommends something.

Unfortunately with so few Brit Hard-Rock/Metal/NWOBHM zines around, where i still find a bit more of information is on 2 or 3 pages on a local Newcastle or Liverpool or whatever zine full of pop/punk/alternative music.

Here - At first look - surprise surprise - what seems to be more interesting is the Savage Thrust zine and possibly the Guillotines.

Cheers for the work !

PS - very funny to read on 2 different zines that Voivod played a crude form of power-metal :D

I liked seeing a few articles on old familiar "rarity-bands" like Hammerwitch, Wyzard, Militia etc + just getting some zines in English in general. Reading about bands I've never heard about before, even a short review - or hell, even just seeing a cool logo of such a band is what gets me going. This is one of the things that also makes those SoAm zines so cool - I can at least fantasize that bands like DRUIDAS, ENTIDADE, STORMS or SATANIC PREACHERS are awesome hidden Metal treasures, though I'm suspecting in reality they are not

d'oh!

Anyway's... with today's update, The Corroseum fanzine archive is now exactly 2/3 of the way to the 666-mark - who would have guessed?!

With this update I've exhausted the last part of my own collection + also most other sources out there, so it might take a while before we see a really large zine-update again...

And there were also 2 or 3 belgian zines for me.

Yet another big update, featuring several issues of some of the greatest Metal mags of all time (Rock Brigade, Metal Forces, Escape etc..)

I've also gotten in contact with some new contributors, so there's still tons of olde forgotten zine-lore waiting to be added 8)

@rumble: Damn! Right, will get to that within a day or 2..

I got this interview with Markus Nick, one of editors of the old German fanzine "Dark Tales" in the mail a while back, and figured it would fit in great on The Corroseum, so added. I also got scans of issues #2 and #3 from Markus!
...plus another 13 of the usual cool zine updates from various contributors.
