80's Metal fanzines - discussions/tips/page-feedback (CONTRIBUTORS WANTED!)
Well, theoretically you can get them from herezincalloy wrote:many thanks Rick for your contribution, but it seems that Renascimento Do Metal #24 and Renascimento Do Metal #27 are not available anymore

although right now these links seem to be having trouble of their own.
If it ends up that they're really gone, I can upload them again.
Well, actually that blog was made by myself and a friend of mine (Coragem) some years ago. It was mainly portuguese zines, most of them already from the early nineties. That was when we found out how time-consuming it is to scan a zine properly. We never got to the foreign ones we had. I still have a pile of them waiting to be scanned.zincalloy wrote:I found old blog with a lot of fanzines, but most of them are dead It's

@Rick: There's a few of those on your old blog that would fit perfectly on The Corroseum. Do you still have the files? You + Coragem will get credits as usual

Great! I had a quick look at the blog and I think any of these would be of interest:Rick wrote:You're welcome!
I have most of the original files. Some I lost in an external drive disaster, but Coragem probably has those back in his parents' home. I'll check them out.

I think we've discussed that Cross Of Iron-thing in an ancient thread somewhere. I should probably write something + link to those from the Zines page, so cheers for the heads-up!khiijol wrote:some e-zines from the 80s:

Metallibashers was new to me though ...and even older that CoI
Makes you wonder how much else of this stuff was made...
#5 of MBI was the only issue i could find online. judging by its content, i'd imagine the earlier issues probably dont have too much stuff of interest, but its interesting to note that it was around that early. even with some of the larger bbs textfiles archives out there, i'd imagine upwards of 80% or more of this stuff is lost
also, i have no idea how big the BBS scene was in europe - pretty much everything i've encountered from those days is from the US. was anyone here into the computer scene back then?

Ok, to begin with here are 'Renascimento do Metal' 23 (Jan 89), 25 (Oct 89) and 28 (Oct 90). All are in Portuguese.
