Keir has returned with a handful of US local comps, plus I added 2 Finnish oddities I got off morbidsodomizer at Muskelrock:

Great finds as always Dan! By the way, can you share a rip of Santa Barbara 1988 Collection 1 Vol. 1 ? That Mythiasin track is simply astonishing! Thx

I 've used Wondershare streaming audio recorder in the past to save mp3's of streaming audio. By the way, kudos for that Santa Barbara LP - it's one of the best US compilations out there mainly thanks to the Winged Astral Dreams track - Rick hits some of the highest pitched notes i 've ever heard on a record! Finally, another task for you Dan is to locate and review that Santa Barbara's Unsigned Heroes 1993 cd! I doubt that the Discogs description of punk stylish is accurate... :)

Added to my wantlist as well. Though judging from the other releases on Discogs by bands that have other releases, it's probably mostly pop-rock.

I have an add-on app for firefox that allows you to rip audio from embedded links (it's called Download Helper) though i don't think i've ever tried to do it with a facebook link. Leave it with me & i'll see what i can do.

Was able to download the videos using https://fdown.net/ & then converted them to mp3 with Format Factory. Bitrate is only 192 kbps, but they're perfectly listenable nonetheless.

BTW that Astaroth track also appears on this similarly titled 1993 CD compilation which just might contain some other Metallic content : https://www.discogs.com/release/9789488 ... legre-Rock

Was just reading about this one & noticed it was absent from the compilipedia. I haven't heard it, is it awful?

Curious about this comp EP too:

Don't know either of those. They don't look very promising though!

I'm not sure if I've ever heard about the '92-edition of the MFM series, though I'm guessing it's probably chock-full of contemporary alterno-crap. I'm having slightly higher hopes about the 7" since indie releases could usually be a bit more "wholesomely dated" than proper label stuff. Added to discogs wantlist.
