Easy, the eBay one is original, The discogs one is a reissue.

I'd argue this guy won the jackpot. Selling lots of rare records in one go = maximum exposure = lots of bidders.

Fuck, 200+ euros for Blood Fire Death. Isn't that like a 70-80 euro record?

I understand how the truly unique stuff can reach the outer perimeters of insanity if the stars align. I mean, there are only so many test pressings. If a Bathory debut test press is offered on Ebay that's likely the only chance you have in the foreseeable future and only cash is going to win the day... but I don't get how items that can be obtained much cheaper elsewhere reach way above market value on auction.

Imagine being the guy that bought (or sold...) it on discogs for 77 euro in 2015.

Soul, punk, psych, all genres with expensive records like this. Is it simply because the genre attracts more collectors, because the releases are more hard to find, or because the collector audience is older (and will we see a gradual rise in prices for metal records too as the collectors grow older and have more disposable income)?

Yeah, just wait till I'll grew (still) older ... I'll simply outbid you all on every Ebay auction I want. Everything what you guys will see is just a white condensation trail when I placed my $ 10000 bids ... hahahaha

Unless you start buying extreme metal again I have little to fear, I think I know less than 10% of the things you post in recent metal finds

What means "start buying extreme metal"? I actually started with Thrash/Death Metal records back in 1989.
So I've almost all I need. Means "your" butt is safe so far ... :D

That’s why I said start buying extreme metal records again :P
I’ve got most of what I need too, at least when it comes to the very expensive records. Still plenty of 50-250 euro records on my wantlist though. It never stops.

No need! Even if one of them was called Crowbar Eddie.

The guys with big wallets ... this one's for ya ^^ ($60 shipping for a small single??????????????????)
https://www.discogs.com/de/sell/item/1179407927

I guess we enter a completely new category here. Hope that won't reflect on other vinyls as recently the level of seller insanity got raised drastically as I've noticed. Just happy that I do not need to start buying records I like anymore since this would drag me into a financial grave. Even for common records you practically could find "around each corner", they request big money. I wonder what you have to pay extra on only the VAT for the one above??? And usually VAT needs to be paid twice nowadays so this is going to be a pretty expensive experiment. :P
