What did my grandma always say? Only leather jackets are real ...
Got my first one from her btw.
The ugly thing with buying used clothes is that you never know who stuck inside that's why I generally avoid it. And if it even would be Axel Rose's last worn condom, I would not touch it ... :D
It's not easy to be the Antichrist ...

Things like this only make me more and more angry that Heavy Load refuses to have their material re-released. If only for the "officially" released stuff. Hell if there is such a depth of unreleased/demo material a re-release similar to the Witch Cross boxset would not be out of place. Damn shame.

Well, these are the only tapes there is, all made in one copy. Not even the band members have these recordings he said. and I got them from their old manager who have become a good friend of mine since a year back. But I was planning to talk to the members about a possible release. But this will take alot of time and effort, which I don't have at the moment.
I can understand not re-releasing the demo stuff or the unreleased LP, especially if the band members are not okay with it and do not have copies themselves or what have you. However the fact that the official releases remain very hard to get/have not been re-released is really something that makes me tick. I can understand that band does not want to re-release those but there is a significant demand for those albums, especially on CD. Generally I despise bootlegs but in the case of Heavy Load I can kind of see why there are tons of those floating around. It's supplying a product to meet the demand. Damn shame that the band cannot be talked into a comprehensive anthology of their official material (or a series of deluxe reissues).

Sorry to go on this rant but I really think such a legendary band like Heavy Load should have their stuff readily available for those who really want to own those albums.

Edit: In the realm of hardcore punk I would compare this to the band SSD. A band of legendary stature and having legendary recordings that are not available to the general public.

Don't get me wrong. I Think it's a DAMN shame they don't re release their official albums.. :( As you say there is a HUGE demand and they're loved all over the planet, so I can't see why not.

Most of the stuff from those demos are STUDIO RECORDED unreleased songs so it would really be a nice thing to put out. But for now I just can't rip and share this as I Think it's up to the members of the band. But I will meet one up quite soon for drinks so I will bring this subject up.

I see you agree with me on the official albums front. Glad to hear that  As far as I know it's not the case of labels not wanting to re-release this stuff - it's the band that is opposed to this. I cannot fathom why. Their band is a beloved cult band all over the world in the heavy metal community. And yet to get their albums you have to stick to bootlegs or pay absurd prices (especially on CD). With a tribute album coming out soon I really cannot see why there are no CD/LP re-releases of the official albums. Unless it is simply a money issue...

And if those tracks on the tapes you own are studio recorded unreleased tracks there would be a TON of bonus material to add to some of the reissues. I would venture to say that if such reissues came out, they would sell like hot cakes.

If you meet with the band and it will not be a problem please bring up the reissue topic. I think Eddie Malm is very keen on having reissues so there yet may be hope.
