Never seen this offered before (But there's one auction info on colectorsfrenzy) Sometimes these "unknowns" can bring BIG numbers. 4 hours left.
Another of those records that has sold for $1000 in the past...

Only ~ 10 copies of the Critical Mass album are in collectors' hands.
Personally I like it; it has a solid, early-mid 80s US metal sound.
Not many folks have heard of it, and most of the 'big money' collectors already own it.
That's the cheapest I've seen a copy sell for that wasn't in really poor condition.

For those not paying attention, prices are down lately on the more obscure/unknown rarities.

You are correct! Mine has the insert and is also in Mint condition. Plus i have an original backstage pass.

So it's value must be higher than the one sold.

Is there anyone willing to buy it for $4,000

Same italian buyer bought this http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0981778979

Apparently, the seller (son of the singer, according to description) wasn't willing to give it for less than 1800$ ... gotta love ebay selfmade rules

The text doesn't specifically state that the insert is missing. Could it be the seller just failed to include it in the picture and description?

Regardless: CRAZY! There were 6 bidders over $1700, and 3 over $2700. Completely, utterly, mind-numbingly insane.

That's not the first time Paradoxx has sold that high. $1,500 has been cited as the MINIMUM for it in recent years, with other quotes above the $2k mark. I'm just surprised so many copies have turned up so close together AND they've all brought big money. Then again, Paradoxx has the hype; everyone knows the 'only 50 copies escaped the pressing plant' legend, and it's been known even to moderate collectors for ages. There have been several US metal LPs on ebay in the past month or two that are much rarer than Paradoxx and, at least to my ears, are comparable in terms of musical quality, yet none of them have cleared the $500 mark.
Rare is one thing. Being legendary versus obscure is the real key to the price tag.

Could always just be good timing. Maybe several people just got a big bonus at work, popped the lottery, got welfare checks with a few extra zeroes because the gov't isn't paying attention atm.... Who knows.

This copy DID NOT have the insert

Does anyone kow WHO bid on this (even the low bids)??
Or can anyone tell me who OWN?

Thanks
