haha, Where have you been?, didn't you notice the increased rates in January? You are talking about USPS now. No international surface exists anymore, for books or anything. ALL mail to anywhere to outside the US is airmail and about 50% higher than before. I think there is a cheaper for books airmail M-Bag but only for HUGE heavy parcels, say 20 Kilos, etc.

US has about the same international rates as Sweden now. It sucks of course, but at least hopefully I will never encounter another American that thinks I'm lying about the postage rates.
